John first began painting in high school and continued taking classes throughout college. After school, John's  practical side took over focusing on a career in technology sales while continuing to paint as one of his favorite hobbies to escape daily life.

Recently, he's started focusing more time to painting and finding an audience for his artwork outside immediate friends and family.

He tends to focus on landscapes, the play of light and shadow as well as the people around him using acrylic and oil paint.​
